How to measure our belts.
The length is measured from the third hole on the belt to the end of the pin, see picture. Choose a belt you already use and compare.
If the leather develops a dry look and feel, use a damp cloth and apply a small amount of natural leather balm to add conditioning.
With time, solid brass items-both natural and plated- will develop a darker tone due to natural oxidation.
The oxide layer protects the metal and gives a beautiful patina. If the original shiny surface is preffered, it can be restored by gently cleaning.
